CANYON ALUMINIUM RADIATOR WINS RED DOT DESIGN AWARD The Heating Company has scooped a prestigious award. At the Red Dot Awards 2011, the CANYON aluminium radiator won a Product Design prize. The CANYON is an energy-saving aluminium design radiator with outstanding heat transmission. The radiator is in both the Vasco and the Thermic ranges of The Heating Company. Following the Communication Award at Batibouw, this was the second major prize for The Heating Company within just a few weeks. The Red Dot Awards are generally regarded as the 'Oscars' of product design. Product Design 2011 The famous Red Dot Awards for Product Design were introduced in 1955 and give global recognition to the finest designs of products in various categories. The list of illustrious previous winners includes the iPad of Apple and the SLS AMG coupe of Mercedes. A total of 1,700 companies from 60 countries entered their top products for the 2011 awards. In all there were 4,433 entries. Only the very best products were able to impress the jury of specialists on account of their innovative strength and design attributes. The CANYON radiator was declared one of the winners. The CANYON is a high-tech radiator made of aluminium that combines a modern look with functionality. The convection lamellas on the front and back guarantee optimum heat delivery. At the back of the radiator there is a special groove for the quick fitting of towel brackets. The CANYON is obtainable in various widths and heights and is obtainable both in the Vasco and the Thermic ranges of The Heating Company. The radiator was designed by Wim Segers (Studio Segers), one of the regular designers commissioned by The Heating Company. |
